What is ESG?

    ESG stands for Environmental, Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance. The ESG system is an evaluation system that measures the sustainability performance of businesses and organizations and can be used as one of the evaluation bases for the long-term value of businesses. Due to its universal, quantitative, comprehensive, systematic and other characteristics, it has become a widely recognized and accepted evaluation method across different industries in the world, and it is also an important strategy for investment institutions to investigate investment targets.

Benefits of ESG

In order to enhance the efficiency of corporate governance and ensure the sustainable development of the company, Goode held a two-day ESG (Environmental, social and corporate governance) management training from September 5 to September 6, 2023, and specially invited SGS teachers to give lectures. Company executives, department heads and other designated personnel participated in the training. Myka, Deyang, Guruide also participate simultaneously online.

At the training session, the instructor gave detailed explanations to the participants from five aspects: ESG development background, stakeholder explanation, substantive issue analysis, ESG information disclosure and the road to carbon neutrality of the enterprise, and conducted practical exercises in each chapter, making the trainees deeply understand the role and significance of ESG in corporate governance, risk management and production and operation. At the same time, the instructor also shared some ESG management status and advanced practice cases of enterprises, which is convenient for our company to better carry out ESG related work.

After-class Test

After the end of the course, the lecturer carried out a closed-book test according to the training content, and tested the learning effect and consolidated the learning results through the way of "promoting learning by examination". After scoring, the test results of all participants were excellent and met the

desired goals.

Through this particular training, participants gained a deeper understanding of ESG. The promotion of ESG not only requires companies to continuously strengthen the capacity building of their management teams, but also requires the full participation of all employees to jointly improve the enterprise's risk prevention and sustainability capabilities and facilitate the formation of a sound ESG ecosystem.
